It seems my image of the 2D version did not get through. It was something
like (matrix * vector = vector):
| T_{n}_1 0 | |T_{n+1}_1| = |T_{n}_1 * T_{n+1}_1|
| 0 T_{n}_2 | |T_{n+1}_2| |T_{n}_2 * T_{n+1}_2 |
I hope it goes through nicely...
