my department has a postdoc program that is seeking applicants in all areas of
mathematics, including in numerical analysis and scientific computing.
Departmental postdocs are assigned a faculty mentor, which may be me. The

The Mathematics Department at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO,
USA, intends to hire postdoctoral researchers for the fall term (which
starts in mid-August) of 2023. Applicants need to hold a doctorate at the
start of appointment, and the position has a teaching load of three courses
per year.
Applications need to be made *by December 4, 2022* to the "open pool" at
https://jobs.colostate.edu/postings/113465
(Note that the pool itself lists a later expiration date, as it is also used
for other positions. Ignore this later date!)
Your cover letter should identify faculty member(s) you would be interested
in collaborating with. Your application also needs to include research,
teaching and diversity statements as well as three letters of reference,
speaking to your potential as a researcher and as a teacher.
In particular, given that the position is supported through teaching, your
application should allow us to judge your potential as the principal
instructor in undergraduate mathematics classes taught in English.
The typical career path for past postdocs in our department has been a
transition to faculty positions at other institutions.
The department would like in particular to encourage applications by
mathematicians who are traditionally underrepresented on the postdoctoral
level (or beyond).
With the characteristics of a postdoctoral position and associated
mentorship, we also are primarily looking for mathematicians who have
completed their doctorate in the last couple of years, rather than for more
established researchers who seek geographic relocation or temporal
employment.
