All:
I have had the pleasure of writing a paper with my friends Ester Comellas and
Jean-Paul Pelteret about what to do when a simulation does not yield the
desired outcome. We called it "I'm stuck! How to efficiently debug
computational solid mechanics models so you can enjoy the beauty of simulations".
Judging from many of the questions on this mailing list, it isn't just Ester
and Jean-Paul and me who are occasionally stuck, but many of you as well. So I
thought it would be worthwhile sharing a link to this paper:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0997753822002753
If you want a pdf version of it, you can find it here:
https://arxiv.org/abs/2209.04198
We hope that the paper is useful to many of you as well!
Best
Wolfgang
