Ok, moving on, I'm trying to replace SparseMatrix by Petsc::MPI::SparseMatrix but I'm getting lots of errors on undefined operations. The two are not based on some virtual base class? Is there a conversion operation, and yes I realize that will not be efficient, just to get my code running in parallel?
