Hi folks! As you may already know, Debconf is organised by a incredible team of unpaid volunteers each year. A lot of the job has already been done, but we are requesting some of your help to make video happen!
This year, videoteam will stream all three conference rooms. This means we need people at the cameras, the sound board and the video mixer for all talks. The equipment and the software used by the team is really simple once you get know how to use it: anyone can do it! We will hold training sessions on: * Sunday July 3rd from 9:30 to 10:00 at Menzies 11a * Monday July 4th from 10:45 to 11:10 at Menzies 11a * Tuesday July 5th from 10:45 to 11:10 at Menzies 11a You don't need _any_ technical skill to attend the training sessions! Experienced people will be there to teach you how to use the equipment and software we use. We recommend that you give at least some of your time during Debconf to help around. Helping the video team is a great way to do this! If you wish to volunteer, the magic link to follow is https://debconf16.debconf.org/volunteers/signup Simply use your Debian Single Sign-On (Alioth) account to create an account, and fill in your details! You won't be able to volunteer if you don't at least fill in the name part. You can then choose from the task list (https://debconf16.debconf.org/volunteers/tasks/ ) the shifts you want to cover. It's mainly video-team work, but there are also other tasks. If you have any question about video or volunteering for the videoteam, ask to pollo by mail ([email protected]) or ping him on IRC #debconf-video #debconf-team @ pollo _______________________________________________ Debconf-announce mailing list [email protected] http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-announce
