Thanks Christian. Bringing cheese was logistically difficult for me, as I'm going halfway across a continent by train, which is a 40-hour trip. Plus Kansas isn't known for cheese. Almost brought a cylinder of funeral cheese, which has a distinctive name and history, though not much of a distinctive flavor. Wound up finding a bottle of wine from a rare Kansas winery - Grace Hill. Will be curious to find out if it's good :-)
