Hi all,

I read there are tax-free schemes for certain tours and events[1] in
Canada. It mentions both the national GST (5%) and the Quebec sales tax
(10%), total 15%.

For example, it mentions a "non-resident exhibitor" can get a rebate of
tax for any "related convention supplies", could that include gadgets
and things people buy to use in DebConf?

Has anybody looked into this? Can people take advantage of this to buy
laptops or other stuff tax-free to take back with them?

Are there any businesses associated with DebConf sponsoring who may be
able to facilitate such purchases?

Regards,

Daniel
