The argument is for people who do not want to be visible.

It is their identity  which could be like a medical record.

Indeed, at start everyone could have such. And by individual consent they could 
enter a public space of the lectures.

But some may feel not to be even on the video records.

If the above is done, no discussion from the beginning about identity and 
subsidies!

Also, a medical record needs a trusted person, that is trusted by the 
subsidisers and the (individual members of the ) organisation.

In this case: if I say that YaoWei did a good job, I make him implicit such a 
trusted person.

Whatever: behind the scenes there will be people who do not want to enter a 
public space of naming.

I only plead to make it explicit. And the trusted person could be useful also 
for not writing down too complicated rules.

I disagree with you on that argumentation. If we follow that
argumentation we may not have name tags at the conference, may not do
keysigning any more and may not video record our conference.
