Dear DebConf23 attendees,
Reminder about the alcohol laws in this state: the hotel *will*
throw
you out if you don't comply with their rules. This is outside our
control, and we cannot do anything about it. You will have to
arrange
and pay for your own accommodation if this occurs.
To move around in the venue without restrictions, please wear your
Conference Name tags/ID cards.
Sign-ups for the daytrips and the conference dinner will close on in
three days, on September 11th.
Tour D will be starting at 7:30 AM.
Lunch and dinner will be served on the ground floor, in
Meesapulimala
(Cinnamon 2) from today onwards, as will breakfast from tomorrow.
The Noisy hacklab will move to Thusharagiri (the All Spice
restaurant
on the 14th floor) today.
Volunteers required for the publicity team, to create the daily
DebConf
bulletin. Contact Kannan or Manoj to volunteer.
If you are coming to India on a tourist visa, please bear this in
mind
at the border and while checking into the hotel.
If you have always harboured a desire to be a talkmeister,
announcing
the talks and relaying questions from IRC, then please come to Front
Desk to express your interest.
If, on the other hand, you have always harboured a desire to point a
camera at a speaker, Videoteam training starts today. (If the room
in
ready). It will be announced in greater detail in IRC.
