But, apparently it is necessary go *all the way through* the flow
before your registration is complete. You have to click "next" an
extra time or two, *after payment*.
When you click on register, the very first thing it says is:

1. You are not registered until you complete the form and the
registration system says your registration is confirmed. You will
receive a confirmation email.
"""
