Hi, DebConf is a completely volunteer-run event, and so we depend on people to volunteer to host DebConf close to home. Organizing DebConf is a lot of work, but it's very satisfying!
On Saturday we will have a session to discuss potential locations for DebConf27. If you, and hopefully a group of friends, are willing to host DebConf in your city in 2027, please prepare for it! Please prepare a short presentation about it, including: - who the local team would be - some information about your city - potential venues - potential accommodation - potential catering options (please consider vegans and vegetarians) - potential dates (approximate time of the year, no need to exact dates) If you would like to meet the DebConf committee for an informal chat before presenting, please reply to this email.
