I think the large hall costs £10 per hour, and has regular bookings that would have priority. Check in advance.

There should be no problem with using Infoseed for debconf events -- supporting free software was one of Infoseed's founding ideas. There is also a large hall in the same building as Infoseed which could be used for larger meetings if there is the need. I can arrange the booking of this hall, and debconf monopoly over the Infoseed space for the days required, if you are still interested :) For the curious, Infoseed is a free software hacklab / independent media centre located in the centre of Edinburgh, under a lovely hippy cafe & arts space.
