In Brazil, there were scheduled snack times in which food was laid out on the tables downstairs from the hacklab. That was an excellent idea, and it was good food too.
I noticed that in Finland and Mexico, people went to the local stores and bought junk food to bring back and share. That worked, but wasn't nearly as nice. If people on the team are too busy to work on this, how about we designate an official location and official times, and let attendees sign up to bring stuff? I'd do that. If someone knows they are organizing snacks for everyone, they are probably more likely to buy stuff to make sandwiches than just a bag of junk.
