>From what I understood for trains, Talgos are accessible, *however* you must register as needing accessibility help for a wheelchair *when booking*. This is motivated by the fact that they use special elevating devices to embark and disembark the wheelchair from/to the platforms in the station. Please also don't forget checking about Cáceres station accessiblity. I would be a shame to reach the station and have problems because the train platform in the station is only accessible with stairs (even electric ones). Just to be complete and because I'm not sure it was clearly mentioned earlier (and I'm not sure this is clear for the local team....sorry if that's the case): Otavio's wheelchair is an auto-powered electric wheelchair *which is very heavy* and quite bigger than "arm-powered" wheelchairs. That may count when talking about accessibility because most "accessible" places are often dimensioned for "standard" wheelchairs (those you can fold, for instance). _______________________________________________ Debconf-team mailing list [email protected] http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team
