in meetings, we have been balancing reasons for different options, especially looking for a venue where all attendees can be together at one place. We are still talking to other Hotels and convention centers to get the best option. We all agreed on Managua as the only place where a Debconf should be held in Nicaragua. A cheaper option would lead, besides loosing comfort, which probably would be fine, to critical indentations of security and accessibility. For example we were considering a University (UNAN), but the building wouldn't be fully accessible, people could not stay in Hotels as close together as they could in the original proposal and it is a less secure area of the town. Others from the local team might want to complement this.
