Thanks for that, here is my interpretation: 1. when you put pen to paper and sign the contract, DC13 has a debt of 32k (but no cash changes hands) 2. on 20 December, DC13 pays 20k CHF, so the debt is now 12k and 20k cash is unrefundable 3. ~31 January, the debt becomes 28k 4. 20 February, another 20k cash is paid, so 40k cash is unrefundable and 8k debt outstanding 5. ~30 April, the debt becomes 80k 6. 20 May, another 20k cash is paid, so 60k cash is unrefundable and 20k debt outstanding 7. ~July, a further 100k must be paid, or the 60k cash is sacrificed and DC13 has a debt of 84k CHF >> What is the proposed way of paying the instalments, 20k CHF on 20 Dec, >> 20 Feb and 20 May? > > What do you mean? Is that money to be paid from sponsorship, or money left over from DC12, or can the money be borrowed (e.g. from Debian itself)? >> Will 40k CHF in sponsorship money come before 20 Feb? > > I do not have any answer to this question, it is (again) a big if. How did it work in the last two DebConfs? I heard rumors that most sponsors only pay within the last few weeks before? _______________________________________________ Debconf-team mailing list [email protected] http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team
