What is different here is that the Canton is effectively going to give money to pay us not to go in another Canton. That is why they give these sponsorships for events. It is the same everywhere in the world, for every type of event. Most cities hosting a Formula 1 grand prix have to `bid' millions and millions of dollars/francs/euros/pounds. As long as we are uncommitted, the pressure is on them to offer us an incentive Once the contract is signed, there is no reason for the Canton to offer money. Geneve apparently gave 35,000 CHF to support RMLL. Even if we got 50% of that from Neuchatel, it helps the budget greatly. _______________________________________________ Debconf-team mailing list [email protected] http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team
