Hi, I'm writing to you all as you were part of the DebConf12 talks team. We are in the process of assembling the DebConf13 talks selection team, so as a first step, I'd like to expressly ask you all whether you are interested in taking part.
I have affirmative answers already from Andreas and Tássia. Tiago was not part of the past talks selection team, but is interested in joining (so I'm adding him to the list). In any case, please answer to this mail. Oh, and as we like having our information spread all over the place ;-) please also add your names to the relevant Wiki page: https://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf13/Teams#Talks_selection Once we have this settled, we will happily go ask the DebConf admins to set up a proper alias ([email protected]) After this, what do we have in store? - Review + send the call for papers A CfP draft is available at: https://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf13/Talk_submissions Please, take a look and help proofread this. I want to send it at most on 2013-05-15. (Should we extend the "official" CfP period? Two weeks seems like too short) - Talks scheduling team. Right now, we are talking about the talks /selection/ team. A smaller (but very important!) talks scheduling team should be formed soon afterwards. - Discuss on talks rating and track acceptance policies (should be a short discussion, but I'd rather not assume things we should do as a team) - Wait for talks to "appear", rate them, and have the scheduling team work out the best way to present them Thanks! _______________________________________________ Debconf-team mailing list [email protected] http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team
