Hello,

I thought this had long ago been discussed and decided, but I could
not find it in the archives.

For many years, the DC wiki requires me to perform arithmetic when
I add/change external links on a page. I can clearly see the
motivation behind this.

However, we now require reconfirmed e-mail addresses for accounts on
the wiki, which should rule out a lot of wiki spammers.

Wouldn't it make sense to spare logged users from the arithmetics?
It's great that wiki.dc.org keeps our brains young, but too often
one simply doesn't notice and loses changes.

Thanks,
