I'd like to have 1.8.1 (and generally track latest stable upstream release) in jessie-backports too, but didn't do it so far because of time constraints. Do you have time for it? :) I think the main problem could be gst-libav, which might or might not work with the version of libav in jessie. Needs testing. The others should all be simple.
