Hi Video Team, on behalf of DebConf Accessblity team I am adding accessibility and diversity sections to the documentation ( https://salsa.debian.org/debconf-team/public/data/docs/-/merge_requests/8 ).
I have proposed updates to the DebConf documentation to include accessibility and diversity considerations, including a points on video captions (live stream / recoordings), We could ask speakers to provide subtitles or use auto-captions if resources allows. We can start small by trying with few talks, gradually making DebConf more accessbile for everyone. I understand that documenting plans and implementing them are different, which is why I would appreciate the Video Team’s review and feedback on these changes.
