This seems to be a documented bug in pipewire with a fix committed last week. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues/2832 I'd say this is pretty major. The volume is not controllable and using headphones it was painfully loud causing my ears to ring for several minutes. --- ProblemType: Bug ApportVersion: 2.23.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: GNOME DistroRelease: Ubuntu 22.10 InstallationDate: Installed on 2020-01-08 (1056 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 19.10 "Eoan Ermine" - Release amd64 (20191017) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia Package: pipewire 0.3.58-2ubuntu1 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.19.0-23.24-generic 5.19.7 Tags: third-party-packages kinetic Uname: Linux 5.19.0-23-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to kinetic on 2022-11-29 (0 days ago) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip docker libvirt lpadmin lxd plugdev sambashare sudo vboxusers wireshark _MarkForUpload: True To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pipewire/+bug/1998242/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~debcrafters-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~debcrafters-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
