I had some EDO memory in my Q840 for a while, and it mostly worked, but
the machine was a lot more stable when I pulled it out. I haven't tried
those SIMMS in anything else, so it may just be bad modules, but all 4
of them showed the same symptoms in exactly the same way. I'd be a bit
wary of using anything other than what the machine was designed to use.
