Hello, I use to back-up my A2000 on another machine before burning a CD, I noticed some problems with the 2.6.8.1 kernel. The "mount -t nfs ..." works OK, the distant disk is visibble, all seems OK. Small files are copied over the link but bigger files (#1Ko) are not and the copy hangs. I found some strange message in the logs : ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Oct 12 23:44:52 a2000 kernel: nfs warning: mount version older than kernel Oct 12 23:47:44 a2000 kernel: nfs: server k400 not responding, still trying Oct 12 23:47:47 a2000 kernel: nfs: server k400 not responding, still trying Oct 12 23:47:50 a2000 kernel: nfs: server k400 not responding, still trying ------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is that message 'mount... older than kernel' #!?@& ! I try to get the latest sources for mount, compile it and ... the result is the same.
I try the same work with another kernel (2.4.27) all is OK, the back-up ended successfully. Any ideas ? Regards -- Storm66 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> N/A
