i am setting up local (sub-)network. i am pretty confused at this. i got by using ifconfig and a cross over cable to ping my powermac from either direction. i am installing now openssh. so if i try that kernal again or another 2.6 version, maybe i can ssh in to shutdown gracefully... (put in as 192.168.0.255 subnet with powermac as hopefully maybe gateway to internet that is 192.168.1.255)
