Well, I don't know why glibc 2.5 wasn't patched instead of gcc 4.1 in the 
first place. Doing so worked for me.

I didn't mean to remove it retrospectively (that is WRT etch-m68k 
perhaps?). Anyway, we were talking about sid. You do not need the patch, 
and it can only cause trouble.
