As Torsten already pointed out: you need to decompress (gzip) the kernel before 
loading it with amiboot.

Ah, well, networking... the 3.2.0-2-amiga kernel works - except that my Ariadne 
card doesn't seem to work anymore. I don't know whether this is just a problem 
with kernel 3.2.0-2 or with the card itself, because it doesn't seem to work 
under 2.6.39 either... it's difficult to tell from 450 km away... ;)
