Actually, they can get it in recent 3.x.y (-stable) releases:
v3.10.37, v3.12.18, v3.13.10, v3.14.1. I'm told that it also appears in 
v3.11.10.8 but I didn't find that one on kernel.org. So the bug is 
effectively fixed right back to the release where it was introduced.
