I have built a non-official etch mini-netinstall CD with Mario's 3.7.2 brltty and framebuffer disabled. It is available on http://brl.thefreecat.org/mini.iso Usb devices should get automatically detected without any manual configuration. For other devices, enter install brltty=uv,ttyS0,xy at the syslinux prompt at the very beginning of CD boot.
