util-linux is an essential package, so I wonder how you managed to end up with a system without it. When apt-get for some reason decides to remove an essential package, it normally warns you with a message you have to explicitly answer with "YES". Did you do that? The warning explicitly told you that this will result in a broken system. > So, i thought, it could be some other reason.. > > how do i install util-linux without apt-get? You can try apt-get install -f. -- CYa, ⡍⠁⠗⠊⠕ | Debian Developer <URL:http://debian.org/> .''`. | Get my public key via finger mlang/[email protected] : :' : | 1024D/7FC1A0854909BCCDBE6C102DDFFC022A6B113E44 `. `' `- <URL:http://delysid.org/> <URL:http://www.staff.tugraz.at/mlang/> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
