Hi. As promised yesterday, the second source package of the big AT-SPI rewrite on top of DBus is now available in pkg-a11y:
git clone git://git.debian.org/git/pkg-a11y/at-spi2-atk.git As usual, please review. Open issues: * The gtk module which bridges to the new DBus registryd is now called /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libspiatk.so. The binary package name is currently libatk-adaptor. Should this be named libspiatk-module instead, or something different? libatk-adaptor also probably misses a Depends on at-spi2-core since the gtk-module is pretty useless without the registryd. * In general, think about the inter-package dependencies. * The package descriptions could use some work. * Test it with real-world applications like gnome-orca or accerciser (needs Depends changes to python-pyatspi2 currently) In general, what is going on here: at-spi2-atk provides the client-side (AT) bindings to the new D-Bus based registryd in at-spi2-core. There is a C binding (libcspi0 and libcspi-dev) which needs to conflict with libatspi*. Fortunately, we dont have many (any?) C library cleints in the archive anyway. at-spi2-atk provides a compatible pyatspi module too, which is what most ATs currently use. This is now provided as python-pyatspi2. at-spi2-atk also provides the gtk module that bridges atk to the at-spi. This is provided in libatk-adaptor (name to be discussed). On a functional at-spi2 system, at least at-spi2-core (the new registryd) and libatk-adaptor need to be installed. Depending on how the clinet side implements access to D-Bus, libcspi0 or python-pyatspi2 might also be required. Typically, python-pyatspi2 is used. Luke, any input from your side? -- CYa, ⡍⠁⠗⠊⠕ | Debian Developer <URL:http://debian.org/> .''`. | Get my public key via finger mlang/[email protected] : :' : | 1024D/7FC1A0854909BCCDBE6C102DDFFC022A6B113E44 `. `' `- <URL:http://delysid.org/> <URL:http://www.staff.tugraz.at/mlang/> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
