En raison du tremblement de terre qui a ravagé la ville de Christchurch le 22 février 2011, le comité d’organisation a dû prendre la difficile décision d’annuler le congrès le 9 mars dernier. Grâce au soutien des membres du bureau de l’IFAPA, du comité directeur de l'Institut National Supérieur de Formation et de Recherche pour l’Éducation des Jeunes Handicapés et les Enseignements Adaptés (INS HEA), de l’UFR STAPS de l’Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense et du comité d’organisation néo-zélandais, il a été décidé début avril de relocaliser l’ISAPA 2011 à Paris aux mêmes dates et en gardant la thématique principale. Les congressistes à cette occasion partageront leurs recherches liés aux activités physiques adaptées avec des personnalités de renommée mondiale. Les sessions plénières seront traduites simultanément de l'anglais vers le français. ISAPA 2011 was planned to be held in New Zealand. Because of the earthquake which damaged the city of Christchurch and being aware of the tremendous work the NZ organizing committee has done for more than 4 years, it was decided to relocate the ISAPA elsewhere in the world. Thanks to the strong support from the IFAPA board members, the board of directors of the French National Higher Institute for Training and Research for the Education of Young Disabled Persons and Adapted Teaching Institute (INS HEA - www.inshea.fr ( "http:///Sarbacane%203/Campaigns/Campagne%20ISAPA/Html/Cache/http___www.inshea.fr_"; )), the Sports Sciences Department of the University Paris West and the organizing committee of New-Zealand, it was decided to relocate the ISAPA 2011 in Paris. We wish to keep the program as close as it was planned and all efforts will be made to welcome all participants from New Zealand, Oceania and Asia who planned to attend the Symposium in NZ. And we hope to attract many other persons from other parts of the world. We work hand in hand with the members of the NZ organizing committee and hope that ISAPA 2011 in Paris will give you all the opportunity to make an international contribution to adapted physical activity.
