I've just tested on Debian Bookworm with Speech-Dispatcher (master
branch) and Vocalizer works for me.
I tested with both Audrey and Thomas (HQ).
Voxin is version 3.4.

that the Voxin module seems unable to open the audio device (pulse) but
I cannot understand why this is so because others applications are able
to and given that both speech-dispatcher and those applications are run
as user.
Exactly the same situation with speech-dispatcher run as root and
re-installing Voxin didn't change anything.
I am lacking inspiration new and would welcome any suggestion.
