I guess Ubiquity is just a Ubuntu thing.
But I managed to get past this window.
I heard it suggesting a strong password, eight characters with one capital, a
punctuation, and a number, but I've never had it require it.
I prefer a weak password.
I'll have to try to change it to a weaker one after it's installed.

Subject: Installing Debian

Hello All,
I have Debian Mate Trixie live, and I'm about to write it to disk.
I cannot get past the username and password window.
I've tried using both espeak and Voxin in this window, and they both crap out
as far as telling me why the next window is not yet available.
I've alt tabbed back and forth, and although the screenreader is running, the
number pad is silent when I try to read the window.
I think the fields are
username
hostname
password once
password a second time
Then I should be able to do alt N for next

Is ubiquity still available, or is there a script file I can make to get me
through this?
Thanks.

Glenn

It used to be wine, women, and song,
Now it's beer, the old lady, and TV.
