I seem to be having a problem in the way i compile a kernel. I do the following:
make xconfig make dep make-kpkg clean make-kpkg --revision=custom.1.X. kernel_image dpkg -i kernel-image-alpha-XXX.deb Everything seems to go ok, but when i boot from SRM: b dka100 -fi vmlinuz It starts to boot and then: 'kernel panic' and 'VFS unable to mount root filesystem ..."
