I am getting a period error message to the Alpha console running Debian 2.2r3:
svc: unknown version (3) I have no idea where it is comming from nor how to get rid of it, or if it is indicating some type of problem. The only thing related that I can find is a configuration file /etc/svc.conf. This file looks like an old DEC Unix configuration file. I replaced DEC Unix with Debian/Linux/Alpha years ago.
