The quotes don't matter (I use them also to make sure that I can understand the boot line if I need to go back and look at it later). As for it waiting for a ramdisk, it doesn't look like it needs to be prompted in that regard. Since the whole thing is being done from CD, it shouldn't need the "prompt_ramdisk=1" at all. This appears to be something different. When I get home, I'll see if I can reproduce this and maybe figure out how to get around it. C
