Hello ! The boot floppies work fine on my LX with SRM, went up to the point where the base system is to be installed (where I aborted). I included partitioning (i.e. calling fdisk) a new disk, a non existing disk label is also detected fine.
I noticed that the file "readme.txt" on the rescue floppy (dated 1996)
talks about "make bzImage" which should be make boot on alpha. But
this of course does not influence the installer in any way.
