Hello. Has anybody got the WL200 WLAN card from Compaq running on an Alpha?
Here's what I have: Kernel 2.4.17 (custom, without Kernel-PCMCIA) pcmcia-cs 3.1.31 Prism2 driver from http://www.epitest.fi/Prism2/ (version 2002-01-03) lspci recognizes the card: 00:07.0 PCMCIA bridge: Cirrus Logic CL 6729 (rev 07) Flags: stepping, slow devsel, IRQ 26 I/O ports at 8450 [size=4] cardctl also "sees" the PCMCIA card: Socket 0: product info: "Compaq", "WL200_11Mbps_Wireless_PCI_Card", "", "" manfid: 0x0138, 0x0002 function: 6 (network) When loading PCMCIA with the prism2 driver, I only get: Feb 10 14:55:49 kermit kernel: Linux PCMCIA Card Services 3.1.31 Feb 10 14:55:49 kermit kernel: kernel build: 2.4.17 unknown Feb 10 14:55:49 kermit kernel: options: [pci] [cardbus] Feb 10 14:55:49 kermit kernel: Intel ISA/PCI/CardBus PCIC probe: Feb 10 14:55:49 kermit kernel: Cirrus PD6729 rev 00 PCI-to-PCMCIA at slot 00:0 7, port 0x8450 Feb 10 14:55:49 kermit kernel: host opts [0]: [ring] [pci irq 26] [1/5/0] [1 /20/0] Feb 10 14:55:49 kermit kernel: host opts [1]: [ring] [pci irq 26] [1/5/0] [1 /20/0] Feb 10 14:55:49 kermit kernel: PCI card interrupts, PCI status changes Feb 10 14:55:50 kermit kernel: cs: memory probe 0x0d0000-0x0dffff: clean. Feb 10 14:57:36 kermit kernel: prism2: prism2.c 0.0.0 2002-01-03 (SSH Communicat ions Security Corp, Jouni Malinen) Feb 10 14:57:36 kermit kernel: prism2: (c) SSH Communications Security Corp <jkm @ssh.com> and iwconfig, ifconfig et al do not recognize my second Ethernet interface (eth1). I suppose it has something to do with the prism2 driver (especially the file prism2.c, lines 221-247) Since I'm no kernel programmer/expert, I don't really know where to start. Any hints?
