Thanks to all who offered suggestions, I finally got my ALpha to boot to a Debian install screen. I had to make 8 floppy images of root.bin bfore I got one that worked. Next step, installing. I'm going to try a network install over a cable modem, if I can find a D/L site woth decent speed. Any suggestions? THe default http.us.debian.org gives up about 2.4 KB / s. Any suggestions?
