I've found a lot of these in my log: Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: CIA machine check: vector=0x670 pc=0xfffffc00003350c0 code=0x98 Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: machine check type: processor detected hard error Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: pc = [clear_page_tables+224/480] ra = [exit_mmap+452/512] ps = 0000 Not tainted Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: v0 = 000000000609c3e0 t0 = 0000000000000001 t1 = 0000000000000004 Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: t2 = fffffc0004dde000 t3 = fffffc0005227de0 t4 = fffffc00005da028 Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: t5 = fffffc00000032b8 t6 = 0000000000000003 t7 = fffffc000609c000 Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: a0 = fffffc0005227de0 a1 = 0000000000000000 a2 = 00000000000000ff Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: a3 = 0000000000000000 a4 = 0000020000125de0 a5 = ffffffffffffffff Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: t8 = 0000000004000000 t9 = 0000002170d160d3 t10= 4200000000000000 Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: t11= 00000000000000a0 pv = fffffc0000334fe0 at = 0000000000000001 Apr 25 11:29:12 alf kernel: gp = fffffc00005d2a60 sp = fffffc000609fe38
This lasted about 30 minutes (generating about 800 of these), and for the past hour it's been quiet. Any ideas what this can mean? Is it serious? Hopefully not hardware, my multia died on me last week and this is my last alpha :-( It alternates between clear_page_tables+224/480, clear_page_tables+116/480, clear_page_tables+400/480 and a couple of others (the others only a few times). I'm running 2.4.18, on an XLT 366 with 128MB. Paul Slootman -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
