Other than Konqueror going out to lunch on a regular basis I was doing ok, but I wondered if upgrading Konqueror would help, so I added this apt source: deb http://download.kde.org/stable/3.1.4/Debian stable main I logged in in console mode (no X) because it seems whenever I add this source a bunch of KDE stuff gets removed and installed and if KDE is running it's a problem. I start dselect and do my update. Sure enough, a bunch of stuff gets removed and installed. I boot for good measure and KDE sure looks different. As I start to look around it appears that Koffice is gone. No problem, I go back to dselect and add it. Unfortunately so far it hasn't been that simple. I haven't mastered the magic of resolving conflicts with dselect because no matter what I select there's a library conflict or something that prevents me from selecting Koffice. So right now I'm formatting my partitions once again and starting over. I guess I'll have to live with Konqueror being broken. Any advice is welcome.
