Don't dowload any iso, unless the machine you want to upgrade has no network access. Instead, edit /etc/apt/sources.list and set it to use the distribution you want. For instance, you could add the following line: deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian sarge main contrib non-free Then, as root, first run "apt-get update", then "apt-get dist-upgrade", and finally "apt-get moo" and enjoy the power of debian. :-) -- Alexandre Fayolle http://alexandre.fayolle.free.fr/blog/
