Wondering how exactly one starts expert mode and or pass the "linux26" command (Kernel 2.6) for the Alpha Net Installer. I need to do this as I want to boot from a IDE drive but install on a SATA drive on a DP264 (SRM) It was very easy to do on Alpha Core .9! Sidenote: With Debian kernel 2.4 installer I managed to install the OS on the IDE and copy it to the SATA drive (while maintaining /boot on the IDE).. however for some reason when I boot with / set to the SATA various PCI and USB devices fail to be detected, works fine with / on the IDE drive.. has me stumped?
