Hi,

I've just acquired a DS20 with 2 cpus and a couple of dac960 controllers. Done a debian base install from the latest netinst release candidate, all worked fine (except it didn't find the cd drive on the sym53c8xx controller until I loaded the module manually). Then I installed the 2.6.8 smp kernel kernel (2.6.8-1-smp off the cd, but also see exactly the same problem with the latetest 2.6.8-2-smp package, 2.6.8-7). It hangs striaght after printing the banner:

DAC960: ***** DAC960 RAID Driver Version 2.5.47 of 14 November 2002 *****

The 2.6.9-2-generic (uniprocessor) works fine:

and the machine comes up fine.

Anyone seen this before? Anyone have an SMP box with a dac960 working with the
latest kernels?

Cheers,

        David
