Hello. I got the following trouble: after I have replaced stock Toshiba CD reader with Nec DVD writer (ND-3520A) system become totally frozen if something tries to use /dev/dsp. I have switched DMA everywhere, I could (IDE disk and cd, soundcard), but this did not help. One thing I noticed is that problem is gone if I detach any of IDE disk or cd.
