As the module.conf file says, you must not edit it directly as your changes will be lost. I think adding a file to /etc/modutils and running update-modules is the solution to this question. > 2. Probably the easiest way to do this is to add a line to /etc/modules with the name of the module you need loaded. $ cat /etc/modules # /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time. # # This file should contain the names of kernel modules that are # to be loaded at boot time, one per line.
