ISP1020 was a bit problematic with kernels <= 2.6.9, but since 2.6.10,
the driver for the ISP1280 supports the ISP1020 too, and works fine.
2.6.8 from sarge had a backport of the ISP1280 driver too.
An alphastation 500/500 with a Qlogic ISP1020/1040 works great with
the isp1280 driver for about one year with different kernels. So I do
not think its THIS scsi driver. Could it be a SMP problem (I do not
know this machine, is it SMP???)?
