ACK on this info as well. The kernel.org kernels built with gcc-4.6 and the previously-mentioned makefile edit seem to work fine: currently running a non-SMP 3.2.0 build on my PWS 433au with no issues as far as I know :-). Haven't tried using gcc-4.5 for a kernel build. Re: the new libc6.1. *Very* nice to see the absence of certain functions in /usr/include/alpha-linux-gnu/gnu/stubs.h :-).
