Hi, I hope this is the right place to report a bug against aboot-installer [1] (which is not in debian proper as alpha is currently a non released architecture).
It depends on chroot, which doesn't exist as an udeb (busybox provides a chroot applet). It seems that this 'Depends:' field is just a copy from grub-installer [2], which removed this dependency soon afterwards [3].
